Privacy Policy

This text describes the Data Protection Policy of TELEFONICA Investigación y Desarrollo S.A. Unipersonal, (hereinafter referred to as Telefonica I+D) as regards the users of the different services offered through its web page http://www.tid.es. Hereinafter these shall be referred to as "Users" and the web page as "Portal". Above all, this document regulates the policy for the protection of personal data so that the Users can freely and voluntarily decide whether they wish to provide TELEFONICA I+D with any Personal Data that may be required, or may be obtained from the Users when making queries, or when subscribing to or registering in any of the services offered by TELEFONICA I+D in the Portal or through the Portal.

TELEFONICA I+D reserves the right to modify this policy in order to adapt it to new legislation or jurisprudence, or to new practices in the sector. In these cases, TELEFONICA I+D will state the policy changes on its web page a sufficient amount of time before they are put into practice.

After filling out and sending any registration form, or after providing the data required, depending on the different cases and services, at all times, the User is aware that TELEFONICA I+D will use his/her personal data in compliance with the DATA PROTECTION POLICY defined in this document.

The Personal Data will be processed automatically and incorporated into the corresponding automated personal data files that are the property and responsibility of TELEFONICA I+D. To this end, TELEFONICA I+D will provide the User with the appropriate technical resources so that he/she can access this warning about the Data Protection Policy, or any other information deemed relevant, and give his/her consent beforehand so that TELEFONICA I+D can proceed with the automated processing of his/her data.

Except in those fields indicating the contrary, the answers to the questions regarding Personal Data are voluntary, any a lack of response will not mean a lower quality or smaller quantity of the corresponding services, unless the contrary is indicated.

The aim of automated gathering and processing of Personal Data is to manage, administrate, provide, increase and improve the services the User decides to use - or register with -, the design of the new services related to said services, the sending of updates on services, and the sending, both through conventional and electronic media, of technical, operational, and commercial information about products and services offered by TELEFONICA I+D or through TELEFONICA I+D now and in the future. The purpose of automated gathering and processing of Personal Data likewise includes the sending of surveys the User is under no obligation to answer.

TELEFONICA I+D has adopted the legally required levels of protective security for Personal Data and has installed all the technical means and measures within their reach to avoid the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized access and theft of the Personal Data given to TELEFONICA I+D. The rights of the User are recognized and he/she can exercise his/her right to access, cancel, rectify or oppose his/her personal details by contacting TELEFONICA I+D SA by email protecciondatos@tid.es.
